HP nc6000 - problem, nie startuje (won't start up) - naprawa (fixing)

Problem:
Laptop turns on for about 10 seconds, the fan is on, screen remains blank, then it switches of. Pressing near key: j,k,l,p temporary fix problem.

Solution: It's very common problem with the Max1987 chip near the processor. You have to fix the solder joins of this part.

Typowy problem z tymi laptopami. Na początku zaczyna się zawieszać następnie nie chce wystartować. Próba włączenia sygnalizowana jest jedną diodą od zasilania, (matryca nie świeci), a po 10 sek. laptop wyłącza się. Naciśnięcie w pobliżu klawiszy j,k,l,p na chwilę poprawia sytuację. Za tą przyczynę odpowiedzialne są uszkodzone luty w pobliżu układu scalonego MAX1987 odpowiedzialnego za zasilanie.
Luty należy poprawić i problem w 90% przypadków znika. Niestety układ jest na tyle mały, że jego polutowanie wymaga albo lutownicy typu hot-air bądź też sprawnego posługiwania się standardową lutownicą.

Hello Cycuarek, thanks for the nice video. Although it is in different language other than English. But I finally managed to separate the Mainboard. I cleaned the Chip 1987 with a thinner and brush. Also cleaned surroundings of the chip. It was difficult to resoldering the chip as it is very sensitive chip. So after cleaning the chip needles i refitted the mainboard and it worked. I don't know how long it work. But for half an hour it works. Wish me good luck!

@shershah77 :) I'm glad to hear it. In my case the laptop broke down after 1.5 years again. So I had to resolder, and it work till today. But in this week I'm going to sell it and buy something better.

how do you fix mx1987 for laptop turned on and off in a few second? are you using soldering gun to remove it and put a new one? or are you using a heat gun to heat it up. hope you can help! i want to learn so bad. thanks.

I didn't remove it. It's old (broken) part. I only heated up it.

my hp nc6000 sterted having problems 3 days ago,i found that i i press the grey plastic it works as long as i am not moving it and stays on a table,if i suddenly move it,the screen turn black,i wanna fix that chip but i am having problems with disassembling it,for the moment works,i am writing this comment from my nc ,fortunately i have a soldering gun and i am gonna fix it,the point is that this is a very good laptop and beside this problem i never had problems with it and still want to keep it

i have the same problem what do i need besides the sothering iron do i need somkind of liuid or anything else because i did it with a regular sothering iron and it didnt work
