Did Sukut ever consider searching for Caterpillar 666B twin-engined scrapers? The 666B's were the best scrapers Caterpillar ever made and could easily 'outwork' the 657E's shown here. Although Caterpillar discontinued production of the 666B in 1979, I believe many still exist today in running condition.
Sukut was my favorite because they let me break their bails until I learned. No one would pick up push pull clearance at the Santa Ana hall. Sukut had the best '57s in the beginning of Mission Viejo era. "Tim" stories are my favorite stories. It takes a new guy some time to see the wisdom in doing so.
