ECS Project ZR1 hits the Dragstip

ECS' Project ZR1 Heads to Englishtown NJs Raceway Park to lay down a couple of baseline passes. The car is 100% stock with the exception of the rear tire/brake combo.

We didnt want to destroy a new set of factory tires, nor did we really expect them to be able to hold the 560rwhp (stock) or the 590rwhp (tuned) going down the track. So we opted to pull the factory carbon rotors and giant calipers and swaped in a set of standard Corvette rear brakes so we could utilize a 26/11.50/17 Mickey Thompson Et Street Radial.

This car put down a healthy 564 rwhp / 564 rwtq completely stock and once tuned, 590 rwhp / 593 rwtq on our DynaPack. Stock the car went as low as 11.02 @ 127, and with a tune 10.78 @ 128.9!!!!

Not bad for a factory stock car!!!

Over the next few weeks this car will getting a number of upgrades... More cooling, more boost, and more power.... this car will be featured in at least one magazine.... and hopefully even more, so subscribe to my vids to see what develops!!!

It's so weird that we live in the days where 10 second cars are daily drivers. Wonder what the old timers are saying. Funny they still think the old muscle cars are faster lol.

Damn I remember my friend had a GN going mid 11's and that thing was like an urban legend around here..now it's just a pretty fast car. Granted 1987 tech with some bolt ons still ain't bad. This ZR1 is finally making some big power that I had hoped for. Just like the pullied Gt500's/cobra, Ford GT's are. This ZR1 is at 722/750 RWhp/TQ now still stock cam and intercooler. Pretty amazing that 800/800 may be doable with every single bolt on without going into the motor with stock Heads,Cam.

@camirocz sure they might use more gas,, but remember, these were before direct injection.. and handling is all about how you make it.. and still.. rather than spend 75000 on one of these, i'll take my 5000$ car that makes the same times...

Not bad with the tune and drag radials its almost as fast as a bone stock z06....lol z06=10.74 at 129 mph all stock on drag radials!
