Are you serious? Framing Armageddon and The Glorious Burden are by far better than anything Matt Barlow ever fronted in Iced Earth, and the only two albums they made worth listening to. Matt Barlow has almost NO vocal range, and is painful to listen to. And you are completely forgetting Owens' work with Malmsteen in Rising Force as the lead vocalist. "Professional seat warmer" my ass. The man has an amazing voice, and his solo work is some of the best metal I've heard in a long time.

actually, barlow left because of 9/11. even though it was some years later, he wanted to do something patriotic for his country, so he became a police officer and like sang in those police bands that tell kids not to do drugs, etc. now he's in IE, a cop, and his side project.

Iced Earth booted barlow because his voice wasnt good enough for the glorious burden, even though he had recorded teh entire album before he was kicked out.Barlow is good,ive just always like ownes better ever since he was with priest.halford...im not even going there hes good but not as good as the ripper.we all have our own opinion..isnt that teh reason we are allowed to post comments on these videos?i do agree that the ripper has been a bit of a bench warmer..that is obvious

i'm not saying the Ripper ain't good. But Barlow has epicness in his voice. And Ripper's whole career is based around being a professional seat warmer. He did 2 cds with judas priest, booted by good singer. did 2 cds with iced earth, booted by good singer. I'm not saying Ripper ain't good, cuz he is, he's really good, but he's not the best by any means.
