There are a LOT of non-LEGO pieces in there...

Hell, half of the balls don't continue past the modules and there are countless ones scattered on the ground in between modules. If it's going to be the best, it needs to be self-sufficient and efficient. It can't constantly require resupplying and there can't be all these balls getting stuck.
