What a wonderful version. I heard John sing this at the Candleliters a few times - it's definitely one of the best things Stan Rogers wrote. Thank you to Barbara, I didn't know this was on here!

His version is mesmerizing, I like it, but nothing can beat Stan, after all, it is his song..

Interesting version. The original Stan Rogers has much more of a rugged, labouring class feel to it, which I think I prefer, but this is also very good.

Beautiful voice, wonderful rendition.
IMO, Stan Rogers' eastern lilt throws a more mariner flavor on it, and I prefer that. Or maybe I am just a huge fan and biased :) I can easily listen to either.
