In President and General Dwight David Eisenhower 's farewell Address to the Nation he warned Americans about the "persist"ant threat to our liberties by the "military industrial complex". This was the first known use of that expression.

From the documentary "No End In Sight" it's pretty incendiary and rather the total opposite of something like Fahrenheit 9/11 because the documentarian involved was incredibly diligent in even acknowledging his errors as well as interviewing people - first person.
