Brands Hatch looked great back then as indeed it still does today, the greatest motor racing circuit in the world...
-
Most of this clip was from the John Frankenheimer film "Grand Prix". The cars used for the film were Formula 3 mocked up to look like Formula 1 cars of the day.
-
Lol the f1 looks like big Formula Ford 1600!

@FlyingBoxHead , I never said that death in F1 was cool...it's the risk of dying that made Formula One such exciting...you never seem to have watched the today F1 races...I nearly fell asleep. I meant that the more safe formula one has become, the more lame racing has become...I just want to see cars, not robots.

@KillerDreck89 Oh yeah drivers dying on a regular basis was totally cool huh?Fuck advancing, lets stick back in the stone age.Boring safety, wow.

Brands Hatch is such a great racing track, I prefer it and Donnington to Silverstone. I doubt the tracks are suitable to todays F1 though...

@feefish001 i agree i wanan see pure driving skill again!
-
@thylegion , that's why formula one was so exciting...what do you prefer?
60's dangerous excitement or 2010's boring safety? :D
-
@feefish001 for what? constant and life threatening danger? ok then...
F1 should bring these cars back.

Uh, no one has mentioned but surely you know that most of this is footage from the film "Grand Prix" staring James Garner, the guy in the white car, white helmet. The guy yelling "he's on fire" is the late and very great Formula One Champion Phil Hill.
