What I will say is that these comments were posted 4 years ago. I had heard much of Qari Basit. What I will say now is that I agree. Qari Sadaqat in his prime was awesomely great and had great control. However, in my opinion, Qari Abdul Basit was a notch above anyone Ive heard in terms on control, style and composition of Qirat. He was mesmorising and had a voice from heaven if you ask me.

Abdul Basit had the best voice ever, but Qari Sadaqat had the best control and style ever. He was the student of Sheikh Basit but his Surah Ya Sin and Rahman is totally differen from Abdul Basit. In their own way they were both best. No one will ever have a voice like Sheikh Basit and no one will ever the style and control of Qari Sadaqat.

@bilalhussain0786 Salaam Brother Bilal, I am sorry but I disagree with your statement that "but Qari Sadaqat had the best control and style"

1. You cant really define who has the best style. why? because every individuals taste is different. some like Shuraim some Sudais etc

2. Regarding control, well this point I think might of been exaggeration. Yes Qari Sadaqat has good control, but to say it is better than Qari Abdul Basit you need to provide some evidence.

Shaikh AbdulBasit is the most copied amongst them (solely copied).

Shaikh Antar Saeed is, the least solely copied but is being mixed by many.

Shaikh AbduBasits control remains unaffected in all kinds of tunes (lahoon-al-Arab), in fast and slow rhythms, in low and high pitches, in quick acceleration and in sudden inertia, in openings (setting-up an ayahs potential tune and rhythm) and closings it accordingly and appropriately. In such attributes and in Tajveed you can not even compare these 4 Shaikhs as each one is better than each one. .... cont.

Shaikh Mustafa Ismail took inspiration from Shaikh Rafat. Shaikh Mustafa Ismails followers included: Dr Noeena, Qari Khushi Mohammad Al-Azhari, (Hindawi mixes) and many more.

You can not compare him with AbdulBasit, he is no way near in reality as AbdulBasit was a verstyle and original in essence. There are dozens of new comers who can copy Shaikh with more perfection.

The era we are in, there have been about 6 big names whom have been now copied (solely or mixing) as this art is based on copying. In no priority sequence:
