well lets look at how stupid it is that they complain about how hard it is to teach children of different ethnic backgrounds and complain how these are the most disruptive kids in class, then want to ban ethnic studies on the west coast. why can't they do their own thing and we do ours? eh?

Teach your own, because 40 years of white teachers hasn't improved black children learning one iota. Black students should be primarily taught by black teachers, as they would care more for their pupils . Nonwhite students achieve better grades, thus narrowing the learning gap when taught by teacher of similar racial & ethnic background. @educate2liberate and now many black municipalities and the NAACP want SEPERATE schools for blacks... that's right they want to RE-SEGREGATE... their argument is that (still after 60 years of affirmative action and billion invested in the civil "rights" capaign that integretion has failed blacks and that they need seperate schools again!

@lekkerfiss3 deficit models of appropriation are very limited. By this I mean attributing phenomena like poverty to a culture, race, group of people etc.is shortsighted. Western culture, like ALL cultures have some things that are beautiful and some things that are harmful. In general, I feel that the Western way of life is at times lavish. In a global climate this way of life has far reaching effects, part of which results in the subjugation of those with little power and money. Keep Well.

Then you will see abject poverty, pollution, child labor and prostitution, dislike of Christians and the blacks of India-the Untouchables. I will gladly keep my Western Culture of art, music and Christian thought over the mindless meanderings of those who believe that we are all just one happy family.

Ms. Billings has the features of an American Indian and you can find this in every black community in America. This is one of our problems as people we are confused about who we are. Black is not a nationality or the word African American but we know if our grandmom is cherokee, lenape etc One of the great Dr. Paul Robeson's great grandmother was lenape and was a witness at the treaty signing with William Penn

I must not have access to the mass media you're referring to... Is it the job of mainstream media to present ALL CULTURES in a favorable light?

What does Islam for instance offer to us westerners? We were already so close to sheeding our own crippling faith in christianity... why promote another faith?
