Why do Irish-Americans think the kilt is Irish? Its Scottish, another thing is the bag pipes, granted they are used in Ireland but arent that big part of our culture, as far as i know they are bigger in scotland, not very much so in this day and age obviously.. Why cant Irish-americans adopt the banjo or even the fiddle, dressing up like scotsmen, brings on the plastic paddy abuse..

why cant the english celebrate st georges day like this.its ok for the irish but when the british try to celebrate our culture,we are put down and it is frowned upon.we should be proud to be british,not ashamed.
