This is one of Marvin and Kim from Tamla label in Dec 1966, they did a lot of tracks together before he began the famous singing duo with Tammi Terrell of course. Nice track too.

  • I have been trying to finf this song for 35 years. It is beautiful. Thanks! Leon from Birmingham, Al.

  • I'm very pleased to hear you've found this, some of my old 45rpm singles are a bit imperfect compared to todays digital ones, but I always took very great care not to scratch them, so they sound pretty good don't you think? I've a huge number to add so look out for some more that I know you'll like.

  • Thank you very much John.

    Leon

  • Glad to be of help Leon, as I've said before I used to be a DJ here in the UK, and so I've got a huge mostly Motown cllection of the old 45rpm singles, so I'm putting them on but have had trouble lately uploading them to YouTube it must be my Internet Explorer, I might try Firefox, anyway I'll try today with another, they are really worth hearing aren't they folks?

  • Hey MOTOWNMAGIC, 'aint this the B side of "It takes two". Had it many years back,Its been missing in action for many years now! Cheers, its a great track!

  • Yes, Silentboatman, it certainly is, I never thought of Motown as having B sides, as I thought the other side was often as good as the A side, that was what I used to find years ago, look out for my next ones, they will remind you of the old days! :-)

  • @8627397 Hi, Leon! This is Phyllis from Bham also. I am sure you've found this track on the CD entitled 'Marvin Gaye and His Girls'.

  • Levi Stubbs and Jean Terrell were the first ones who I heard do this song. I had no idea Kim and Marvin did this song first. Sounds good . Both of them can sing a song softly then kick up with sould sounding.

  • Fab song !

  • motown gold

  • So right! there were many so called B sides better than the A! Cheers
