great video, very educational.
forewarned...
i also did p.i.o. on my first paraplane landing but front to back (misapplication of the throttle).

Great to see this video. every instructor knows that students can be unpredictable and their situational awareness can be less than average at times. Those that want to claim that this is poor instruction have probably never tried to teach a student how to fly before and frankly the flying community is the better for it.

For Real if that was not a Paratoys wing that would have really hurt him.Glad you are ok.

@sigmedical 100% agreed. He even HAS a microphone in his helmet! He should have just let off the brakes, let the quad stabilize itself, and flare off towards the end.

It is amazing that he didn't flip it - testament to the quality of the buggy. Would like one of these but the licences would be a pain compared to foot launch PPG whick I do now.

Просто смех...))))

This is also a good reminder that you have to FIRST and FOREMOST understand the paraglider and be able to control it properly on the ground. Good, solid kiting skills go a long, long way. Too many trike pilots being shoved into the sky with piss poor knowledge of how to control a paraglider.

good video. I like to see that the quad daved your face basically. I'm thinking of getting one....

I think that it is as well to show things going wrong because it doesnt go right every time this is a beginner pilot so go easy on him.

This is a good example why you should get with a real certified instructor that will take the time to teach you to fly instead of just force you to launch as fast as possible so they can take your money and move on to their next victim. There is no reason for things like these to happen. Get with a certifed USHPA instructor and get some training. Also get proper equipment, that is a bogus copy of an 8-9 year old horribly outdated glider and I don't see a reserve installed.
I hope you're not proud of this video.
Why did you put it on here? It doesn't speak for you nor for the quality of the training you received...

Nope, that wasn't me, I was filming, but I did recieve training at the same institution.

Wasn't simple! Some previous trainig should be necessary, it's not a game!

This video was taken during PPG training in Pheonix Az. I think that there are some people out there who see PPG videos of experienced pilots and decide to self train because they make it look easy. This is a good reminder of why it is good to have a experienced instructor on the radio talking to you during your first few flights.
