Hey I really appreciate your effort of putting up the score. A violinist asked to play it, now I have had a glimpse of my part before I have the music in hand. Thank you very much indeed!! :)
what a lovely piece..

@1984bubu Aw thanks, it took a lot of time and effort, but it was worth it! A friend (violinist) actually asked me to post it originally because he was going to learn the violin part! :)

"Violinistically," this really sounds like the best version. But Maestro Wolfgang sounds a bit dry and I think, pianistically, the recording featuring William Wolfram (with Frank Almond) is probably the best.

@ThaSchwab I agree...but I like this lighter rendition since Strauss to me is a light-hearted composer, but I think his approach comes from the fact that the first item on the disc is the Strauss Concerto, and as a conductor Maestro Sawallisch is probably more prone to the "She's the soloist, let her have it!" approach. But I'm not familiar with this sonata (since I'm a pianist)...though I'm very excited to explore other performances of it! Gorgeous piece. Sarah Chang is phenomenal...
