  • I love this song, it is so fogotten within a world of such chaos. Thanks very much for uploading, probably the most important YouTube video ever, we can't let this music die. Phil Ochs is without a doubt, THE MOST UNDERRATED singer/songwriter of all time.

  • Possibly the best antiwar song in the world ever since about the end of WWII America has just been looking for fights that don't involve us. Look at Vietnam the reason it was so unpopular was because the Vietcong never did anything to us until we entered the war it was France's battle in the first place. Like sticking America's "dick" into a beehive we did more harm than good. How can I say this? Two words Agent Orange. Resulted in it's intended purpose in harming the enemy but also harmed the

  • I wish Phil was still alive he inspires me in every cord he played in every word he spoke and in ever corky comment he made.

  • A truly great American. Not afraid to speak out, not willing to turn his back on the disenfanchised or ignore the downtrodden. Love the music Phil wherever you are. Has anyone loaded Small Circle of Friends?

  • @joeevans94 Agreed.

  • I think the only good thing to come from the Vietnam war was Beautiful music from artists like Phil :)

  • Phil Ochs died in 1974. Tell me this man is in any way less relevant, now, than he was in the time when he was alive. This video is slightly dated, but not much. Very bloody well done! Everyone needs to hear and see this.

  • Deep, very deep. It's a shame that so many people today deem these songs "unpatriotic" and "anti-American". I seemed to have missed the memo that in order to support our troops, you had to support war. War is NEVER noble, no matter how you cut it, it is still a gross tragedy.

    I am saddened that in this era, we have no artists like Phil Ochs or John Lennon to wake us up.

  • @catmoulay So many young people they were sold such Lies .. what was it ....'Little Catholic Belguim.. or the Freedom of small nations.. many our Irish bought these lies.. and were told that through 'Blood Scarifice' in WW1 we would win our Nations freedom.. via "Home Rule" so many young men fed into that Mincer for Imperial Gain. [Quote "A bayonet that's weapon with a working man on either end betray your Country.. Serve Your Class don't Sign up for war" Big John McClean Labour Activist 1916

  • Would be interested in seeing other viewer's lists of the three best anti-war songs ever recorded. Here's mine;

    1. I aint marching anymore

    2.Where have all the flowers gone

    3.What are you fighting for?

  • A good man, but misled sadly. Looks at the surface of things instead of delving into their true origins and meanings. Good song though, good message.
