@SupaKaream way better, but its not for novices, its advanced but may be difficult to learn, it was like that for me, but i got used to it, it is nothing as easy like final cut
Oh, After Effects is very much in the mix, just on the graphics end of it, not so much for editing. Where I work, all of our graphics guys us AE and the editors use Avid, audio uses ProTools. Avid and ProTools are obviously perfectly compatible. The only thing with AE is, sometimes, they don't have the Avid codec installed so we have to export Animation codecs to them.
Avid is a great software, so is Final Cut. But i don't see why Adobe After Effects doesn't come in the name of Hollywood Standard. It can do anything Final Cut can only better, perhaps harder to use?

Supa... no question, it is currently better than Final Cut. It's the Hollywood standard... although Final Cut is gaining ground, quickly.
The advantage that FC has over Avid right now it the use of RED camera files... with Avid, it's a total workaround.
