  • I remember watching this film for the first time many years ago. I feel the film has a strong message in it and it stirs an emotion in me that I can,t really explain and it has that effect on me every single time I watch it. Every so often a film comes along and it impacts on you. This is one of those such films. BRILLANT THE BEST CLASSIC EVER!

  • Another great Sergio Leone movie :D

  • How can Rod Steiger be taken seriously playing a Mexican??He looks nothing like either Mediterranean or Native American....

  • MASTERPIECE!!!!

  • @monksally i dont know the name but it plays at the beginining of a fistful of dollars when clint stand at the water well and watches the kid get beat by the guys

  • Probably my favourite film.

  • Leone was the best director of his day almost without question, the only one who had a chance of challenging his title would probably be Francis Ford Coppola, but Leone would still win that battle. very few directors ever had talents or ambitions as large as his. The only modern Directors that i think posses equal talent would be Michael Mann and Quintin Tarentino but Leone's ambition would still be greater.

  • @mcmiguel

The same feeling one gets while watching Once Upon A Time In America. Late Leone will remain the best director this world has ever seen. Nobody will ever come close to his work. Nobody. Ever.

  • What is the name of the music that starts at 0:06 ? I'm guessing its Morricone's music, but what is the name?

  • i could watch this movie a million times and never get bored

  • Classic!! Sergio does it again! Find it hard to think of another director that can maintain such a high level of violence yet still deliver it with a good dose of humour.

    Pure genius!

  • @CashmanIRE what you've identified as flaws are the very things that defined Leone's "style"

he was infamous for his long drawn out shots and long pauses of silence and the eerie music in the background. To say thats what bothered you about it is basically saying you have a problem with the director .
