  • I know for a fact that it was Elliott on "Reelin'". Skunk did many Steely Dan solos and is a very fine musician, but Elliott has this one. Denny Dias did many solos as well. elliott played on most of the records either as a soloist or rhythm guitarist. He even has a really cool NEW version of "Reelin' In The Years" on his new CD. Check out his website: www.elliott-randall.com for more info.

  • Was present at this great master's show-The inimitable Elliott Randall-a ripping, amazingly accurate soloist and impressario with few equals in the world of music. His creativity, and boundless love for music is only a few of the many attributes that make him one of the finest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. He is just too nice for words....

  • I bought my first LP at 12 in 1969...I was into Hendrix...I bought Steely Dan's "Can't Buy I Thrill" and of course loved "Reelin in the Years"...Saw where Elliot Randall played the lead..I bought the "Randall's Island" LP and I was hooked....Thanks for posting...New to youtube and making the rounds...Cajun MoFo Mojitos and some Ellitot Randall..Pure Greatness!!!

  • This guy is the king of the mixolidian!

  • Chop Shop to the max! You are sick, man!

  • @dhogerty "...the most informative ... about the music induustry ..." That's a polite way to put it. On MS, that was one thing, but on FB, it's quite another!

  • @ defmedia. With respect, musicians are not competitors like gladiators or footballers. Elliott's contribs to Steely's opus were just as critical if not moreso than Jeff's - different styles is all. The two guys haappen to be good buds as well. Thanks for the cool vid! -Bruce:)

  • Sour Flower.. great song off Randall's Island. I have a signed CD of it, thanks Elliott!!

  • The first song in this gig is one from his "island"-LP, which i got back in the old days, lost somewhere and did not find it again. Lost vinyl is always sad, but from this man - oh what a tragedy....
