  • I am very pleased with the result. We are experiencing a severe drought here but the sprinkler zone I have dedicated to the pond has no trouble keeping up and runs water to it about 1 hour per day. That's close to what I'd have to run it if I just had grass there instead of a pond. I have stocked it with bass, blue gill, red ears and copper nose. I put a few dozen minnows in there that I caught from another local body of water and now there are thousands of them. Egrets, herons and ducks a

  • @mannhorn34 - Coverage varies depending on the type of soil that you have. I had a good amount of clay in my soil with a high plasticity index so I could get away with 2 lbs./SF. Sandy soil obviously requires a higher concentration. I did see a chart put out by Bariod that showed the various recommendations for different soil types at the Pond Boss forum. You might check there.
