  • Congratulations both on your marriage and on this inspiring video. From the date on it, one can tell that you were well ahead of your time. In the years since you made it, there has a been a huge growth in the number of straight allies who support gay rights.

The campaign for gay marriage in New York state clearly demonstrated that. A whole series of people, including President Bush's daughter Barbara, made ads for the HRC arguing for gay marriage there. People like you led the way.

  • @RCSVirginia just seeing this now, thank you. I'm still in quite a minority in my state Missouri, but you are right, straight allies have multiplied even here over the last 4 years. i knew at the time i would be on the right side of history. My wife and I have our first child due in December: he and any future children will be instructed in tolerance and exposed to gay people.

  • Beautifully put and so heart felt. Thank you for sharing. And Congratulations on your marriage Best of luck for a beautiful and happy life. The fact that you took the time to make this video says much about your character. I predict your marriage WILL be blessed.

  • "My husband, Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." On another occasion he said, "I have worked too long and hard against segregated public accommodations to end up segregating my moral concern. Justice is indivisible." Like Martin, I don't believe you can stand for freedom for one group of people and deny it to others."

It certainly is a fact. All the people condemning gay rights, including gay marriage, should read Leviticus and fully live their lives by all the laws laid down therein. Doing otherwise is total hypocrisy.

  • @lisauben

Thanks for putting up this quote. Many people are unaware that Coretta Scott King was a staunch supporter of the gay rights movement, for she felt that the struggle of gay people for full equality was an integral part of the overall civil rights movement.

  • @parymich777 Do you support the right for Americans to practice Hinduism? Should the freedom of religious association be reserved for Christians? Homosexuals are breaking one of many (kooky) laws detailed in Leviticus. Hindus violate the first of the 10 commandments which, I understand, are a big deal in your religion. Do you recognize Hindu marriages as legit?

  • Religion is such a despicable enterprise.

  • Why are all these anti-equality, "religious" bigots smug, condescending & arrogant? They presume to speak for God, based on the oft-translated, edited, misinterpreted writing of other men from centuries ago, & piously proclaim their own chosen religious lifestyle superior to everyone else's. They need a reminder about the dangers of false pride, & they should wonder whether it's the Lord or a darker force which propels them into spreading hatred against other human beings whom the Lord creates.

  • Dude, I don't agree with your opinions. In fact, I think that your opinions make you a loser. The fact that you bring God into your opinions about Gay marriage explicitly displays that you are right now running away from God. You are worshiping a false god made in your own corrupt image. You worship Satan, the golden calf and other filth. According to your words on this video, you have left God long ago. I pray that you get right with God, if you even believe in God.

  • Why do you to believe that if one talks about being gay, then all you talk about is sex???

I'm gay and I don't talk about sex

when people ask me about ny lfe because sex has nothing to do with being gay.

It's what happens in the heart, not the crotch that makes one gay.

    STOP STEREOTYPING!!!!
