My sister-in-law from North Carolina was visiting and I talked her into singing this for me. I think she does a terrific job on it! Her name is Loretta "Precious" Wimmer.

As pure as a mountain stream!! This lady is WONDERFUL. Folk and roots music needs these kind of voices to carry on the traditions. She should definitely be singing with a band!!! This is one of my favorite songs, for very personal reasons. Anyone who can't be with the love of their life due to time and circumstance can relate. Again, I say this is fantastic. Does she have a website?
