@Kerriangel Actually, I wouldn't say that. The key to a good actor/actress is that if they play a "good guy" you feel empathy towards the character, and that certainly was the case here with David. Also, when he went "Dark", it make me not want to be on his bad side. It certainly doesn't hurt that he's freakin' adorable.
