Here's an Armstrong Twin clone I built from a kit available at www.buildyourownclone.com. Great place, lots of info, and these pedal kits sound wonderful. I call it the 'compressionring'. Three sounds - compressor, ringer, and both (compressor into ringer) - it's not really a ring modulator, to me it sounds more like an octavia. The setup in this video is a Mexican Tele with Kinman pickups into the pedal, then into a 1x12 18 watt Marshall clone with a G12H30 speaker. The amp has power scaling installed, and I had it down quite a bit. This pedal is a blast! For the 'ringer' portion, it's best to play it on your neck pickup around the 9th - 15th frets or so, as you would an octavia pedal.

  • what song did you play around 3:00? Ive heard that from a PGS demo of the mjm london fuzz ii before!! :D

  • @Nimrod9458 that was a speedy version of Jeff Beck's 'Led Boots' - a great tune!!

  • what is that resonance chord on 3.28? ty

  • @00DirectorsCut00 it's a Cadd9 - A form

  • Dude! I am seriously digging your playing man!

And the pedal sounds super sweet too! Kinda subtle, but in a very good way.

I'm wondering though; does it do a serious, more obnoxious sort of ringmod thing aswell, or is it mostly octavia? (I mean, apart from the compressor stuff of course!)

    Keep it up!

  • @francescotaranto90 yeah, it's more of an octavia thing... not a gain pedal by any means...

  • @ChrisONGuitar1 it looks like : doobie brothers-long train running

  • @ChrisONGuitar1 I was just vamping a 12 bar thang, just improv

  • @FarmedCars if you find the sound of the pedal annoying, quite possibly!! : )

Seriously, it's a button that takes some force - you won't toggle it on or off by just touching it with your foot - there's a definite 'click' to it.

  • is the button annoying to push?
