Zero Tolerance Review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRUndertow review of Zero Tolerance, developed by Technopop and published by Accolade for the Genesis. Although it performed under the shadow of FPS pioneers like Doom and Quake, the alien shoot-em-up Zero Tolerance still had a healthy following. Control one of five Zero Tolerance commandos in charge of repelling an alien threat from the starship Europa-1 through stage after stage with weapons from a simple handgun to a high powered laser rifle. This video review features video gameplay footage of Zero Tolerance and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Eric.

  • I had this back in the day... the viewing area was damn small, but the idea that you have to kill everything before moving on made it strangely fun since you couldn't just zip on to the exit, and the graphics weren't too bad for a non-assisted Genesis game. I remember thinking it would be cool to play a FPS on my Nomad until I tried this... talk about squinting, wow.

  • Just got this, excited to find a CGR review up.

  • scott must be nathans ancestor

  • @spiderjerusalem100 yes they are, but they aren't slow but the buttons are laid out awkward

  • Never heard of this, looks pretty cool but are the controls as slow and awkward as they look?

  • Doesn't Scott Haile look like Ice Cube when he was a rapper?

  • Should have talked about the co-op through the use of 2 genesis systems and a link cable.

  • Death - Zero Tolerance

    good ass song

  • Actually looks pretty good for a FPS running on the Genesis.

  • Was this also released for the SNES? This game looks like something that probably would've controlled better with an SNES controller.

  • i hated this game when I had it as a kid. wonder if my opinion would change playing it again

  • This is a favorite game of mine, and you forgot that it is a SYSLINK game. DIY crossover cable, from port 2 on two genesis systems and you have "online" two player. I made a cable for it and have two rigs ready to hook up as I need them for Syslink games :D

  • Looks like an okay game

  • :51 Unnatural pause.

  • When your really really bored. Zero Tolerance is a good bit of Aliens inspired space marine fun.

Just be kind. For the time its better than most titles that strived for third dimension on a machine that shouldn't have it.

  • Waffles
