when I was DI live steve really did his squels and they were so loud and high pitched it serious was hurting my ears.

Steve used to do only pig squeals on their first album, or it was like 90% squeals and he always did his by inhaling most of the time. On their second record he did a shit load of squeals as well, especially harvesting the deceased, bullet proof sclaes, ect. i wouldnt be surprised if his voice is shot, but i just saw him live and it wasnt bad at all, but obviously not studio quality.

i think he just cant do them live. or he just doesnt try live. although wen u record in he studio it sounds waaay better than it does live. nd trust me im not talkin shit cuz D.I. is my favorite. i have them on my fuckin arm for christ sake!

okay, i asked him at a show...
after recording 'the ills of modern man' his high gutteral vocals blew out... thats why he doesn't do any on 'day of mourning' either...
the ills of modern man tour was the first long tour they did and it fucked his highs up...
p.s im not bitching about him, hes awesome and so are despised icon...
im a huge fan
