The web can be an interesting place to say the least. There are many great things about it: edifying blogs and videos, staying in touch with friends, the ability to communicate at will, etc. But there are also many deterimental things about it that Christians should safeguard themselves from.

In this episode of Rightly Divided, I sit down with Tim Challies of challies.com to discuss the topic of "Christians and the Internet."

(Note: The original topic was limited to the blogosphere, but the more we spoke the more I realized that wouldn't cover all the topics we discussed in this video.)

Here are Tim's books:
1. The Discipline of Spiritual Discernment
(http://j.mp/ppG73v)

2. Sexual Detox: A Guide for Guys Who Are Sick of Porn
(http://j.mp/rq9L4E)

3. The Next Story: Life and Faith after the Digital Explosion

  • @kuzbass777 100% agree. I did'n even watch the video, I turned it off when heard the music

  • I don't have a cell phone (and never have) or i pad or any other device. I don't even have a TV any more and haven't watched TV for almost two years. All I have is a desktop computer and an old-fashioned phone that is plugged into the wall. And of course, my piano. I log into my Facebook account about once a week for a few minutes. And I have a happy, uncluttered life. It's all a matter of choice whether you are a slave to your cell phone, etc. They talk like we don't have choices.

  • Lane this was very good. Thanks for your work!

  • Great vid! True, we need to speak the truth in love since Truth originates and comes from God the Holy Spirit, the Giver of Truth, so that no one can boast of their acceptance of Truth just as no one can boast of their acceptance in Christ apart from the monergistic work of God alone. Sadly, many Reformed Youtubers, including me, often forget this and needs to be repent. BTW, Mike Horton and Roger Olsen will be discussn their books: For Calvinism and Against Calvinism at Biola this Sat at 8PM.

  • the paintings crooked. another great vid btw

  • Thanks @LaneCh -I am so delighted to be watching 2 young men who are the next generation to whom the Gospel is committed to be guarded and spread.
