Lazenby is obviously a handsome guy regardless, but he looks AMAZING with the beard and long hair. WOW.

Really like lazenby as bond, ohmss is one of fave bond films. He brought humour and warmth to the role without losing the physical edge.

I put that down to inexperience - he was a car salesman and only cast because he "looked a bit like Sean Connery".

He was quite good in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" but based on his interview, he was obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed, at least at that time.

Precisely. He and to some degree his James Bond will be understood more by people of more humane natures or more spiritual people. People who are "less aware" shall we say, they will prefer someone who's just a killing machine and someone who is a user as Sean Connery's Bond represented to a tee. Which of course is why more people prefer Sean, because there are more such people in the world, at this time.

basically lazenby didnt want bond to be just a killing machine...which is all the character of bond really is when all is said and done....is disturbing that those in charge of the bond franchise...and most bond fans....actually prefer the killing machine ie a psychopath in a siut...
