I'm voting Youtubium if an element is discovered by the people affiliated with these videos.

@jakehenlan 3.1536*10^21 atoms is one gram???

@periodicvideos whats 50000000*365*24*60*60*2000000?

@WillyTung yea the names that have been assigned recently are pretty lazy and lame IMO....they don't have the same feel as the original elements...this hurts their credibility even more in my eyes.
-
@poofnsauce Is it some sort of tradition to make all new elements end with that now? What about some -on's or -ese's? :/
-
@WillyTung the early latin words for elements used -um extensively....of course the names we know in english and the symbols we use are much different for some. Those latin names most likely end in -ium.

Lugosium, Schreckium

@periodicvideos You're totally right. I don't remember where I saw the statistic but there is enough gold in the Earth to have a foot of it cover all the land on the planet.
-
Why do so many elements end with "ium"? Curious.

I think that Poliakoffium fits better :)
Can they produce gold by bombarding silver? Would it be efficient?

@kargidesign Someone at GSI told me they can produce about 2 million gold atoms per second in that machine! That sounds impressive!?
Well, they also told me at that rate it would take something like 50 million years to make ONE GRAM of gold!?
So I think it would be cheaper to just go and dig some holes and look for gold nuggets!
