Total rubbish compared to the original 1974 version. Has absolutely none of the grit of 1970s New York or 70s cinema. Just another homogenized, squeaky clean remake pandering to todays audience, who can't appreciate anything unless it has that same generic slickness that everything has now *YAWN*.

this was a film i never got round to watching, but i finally watched it just now and i'm shocked that john travolta was so good! i guess i expected be remided of danny zuko the entire time but i completely forgot about his defining role during this. bravo!

I'm 16 now and didn't even know what The Sopranos was when this film came out, so didn't recognise James Gandolfini.
Now, having watched every Sopranos episode, it feels almost emotional to see Gandolfini in this!
