During the drive back south to Inuvik on the ice road, at about 60km (38 miles) from Tuktoyaktuk, the solar car hit a very slippery patch and went spinning, hit a snow bank and stopped at an angle. The sky was heavily overcast but occasionally there was a bright spot in the sky. We left Tuk with only about 85% battery capacity, which was not enough for the drive back to Inuvik. We took the opportunity to charge the batteries a bit. While the weak sunlight trickle charged the batteries we took photos and entertained ourselves with our own "arctic dance."
