Music from Australia and New Zealand in the year 1976:

Rabbit's promo-video for the track 'Wild Fire', taken from the 1976 album 'Too Much Rock 'n' Roll'.

Note: Rabbit's leadsinger/frontman Dave Evans had been the original leadsinger of AC/DC, before making way for Bon Scott. His band Rabbit had a favourable live following in Australia, but didn't make a major impression; although the group's debut album 'Too Much Rock 'n' Roll' (1976) did reasonably well in Europe.

  • This stuff is great, and being a Newcastle boy makes it even better. Thanks for posting Noz!!

  • @TheNosferatu1969 no worries ;-)

  • **** ... Message to nzoz1976 ... **** You have some of the BEST music clips I've EVER seen ... Just wanted to acknowledge my appreciation here ... Many thanks for the memories I'm re-living ... I was 15 in 1976 ... Rabbit supported TMG in Townsville where I lived back then but I wasn't allowed to go to the concert. I made up for lost time when I was 17 ... Saw hundreds of bands then!! Anyway Thanks Again. *** You're a Legend *** : )

  • @AnnieDelico Thank you Annie... much appreciate your message!

  • @nzoz1976 ... Well ... The way I see it ... You do one heck of a lot of work to get all these clips up onto YouTube for all the fans to enjoy for FREE ... More work than anyone realises I'm sure ... & how often does anyone even bother to say a simple "Thank You"? ... I'm sincerely grateful. Your clips have brought me so much joy ... in all the years you have posted - SO MANY - Too many to count. Thanks again ... so very much : )

  • @AnnieDelico it can be an overwelming amount of work, but still... thank you for such great feedback!!!!

  • Great stuff! I used to dress like that back in the 70's! You can see how funny Spinal Tap was now cant you! lol

  • I feel sorry for all the underage groupies that were victims of Glam rockers.

  • @diamondog99 I was thinking watching this it's a classic old school guitar sound. Amp and mic placement were an art back then unlike now where it's just through an effect a lot of the time. Nice guitar solo too. Reminiscent of Angus on LTBR album even though this predates it

  • Gawd they were awful then and still awful now.....sorry Dave!

  • saw these guys play live at nobbys beach in the 70's one of newcastles finest but i'm from newcastle

  • dave evans biggest mistake - he quit ACDC (i was told coz they wearn't pretty boys like him lol ) forcing them at the last minute to throw one of the roadies in, as lead singer - and a legend was released (bon scott forever)

and then he came back a year or so later with rabbit i seen them live they just didnt have the magic to go with the glam.............................

  • nzoz - geez youve taken me back with all this music, im loving it

  • We had Rabbit play at School in 76 and poor Dave Evans set his hair on fire while doing a bit of fire breathing.
