The idea that "god has a plan" is in complete contradiction to the idea of "free will". If he has a plan, then no matter what you think you are choosing, it will turn out his way anyway. Therefore it's not really free will.

You could've done sooo much more with "God has a perfect plan for your life." Not complaining. Just one of my favorites along with "Bless your heart."
