JOURNEY - Arnel Pineda sings Patiently and Why Can't This Night Go On Forever

Arnel Pineda, Lead VOX of JOURNEY, celebrated his 42nd birthday as they played at the Borgata in Atlantic City Sept. 4 and 5 with a surprise encore: Our "wonder boy" was granted his bday wish to sing his two personal favorite JOURNEY songs as a medley. This was the 1st time that Arnel sang these and likely will be the only times this will ever be sang again.

Neil Schon accompanies him with an acoustic guitar first and then switches to an electric guitar. A very rare and special ending and thank you from Arnel and the J-Boys!

@xodia7: Fair enough... but I am sure you know many passes and clean ups are done when recording at a studio for a music album. For a likely shortly rehearsed one-off chance to sing this song (as a birthday wish granted)... I'd say it is better... esp. if you were there to see/hear it live. Even "unbelievers" were converted that evening.

Again I will comment that Steve Perry would be very proud of Arnelon his rendition of 2 these songs. Perry would be very disappointed to read all the anti- Arnel comments here on youtube. The Journey continues.

Hey NoSteveNoJourney, just go away. If you are spreading negative things to Arnel, you are failing. Millions of Steve Perry fans are becoming Arnel's fans not only here in the US, but throughout the world. Why don't you just go to their concert and enjoy their music. Spreading hate towards Arnel is inhumane. Or you don't mind, because you are by nature inhumane. Peace man. I hope you find in your heart to love and not to hate.

That small riff that Neal plays at around the 5:30 mark, sounds a lot like another small riff that he plays on Big Moon from his Beyond the Thunder album. Amazing sound
