@ZenWolf777 yes, I have heard it. huge white stripes fan actually. as well as a raconteurs fan. he added a different timbre to it. it might be that mics are coloring his voice but i think it is just a natural whine. it makes his voice unique, which is great, but it just seemed overdone in this song to me. could just be me. not looking to offend anyone.

it is almost a whine. you have done a few songs where it is done tastefully, but in this specific video i feel that the whine detracts from the talent that you really have.
obviously covering songs can be a bit difficult because you want to put your style into it (guilty of it myself), just be careful that you aren't going overboard. You have a unique voice, and i like it. I hope you don't take offense, only a suggestion.

This is absolutely brilliant. I really want to cover this song too, but there's no way I'll do it as good as this - well done!

Wow! You did an amazing job at covering White Stripes and you're really pretty x) I am definitely subbing you :)

Is this still open at all?
Cause I'd like to see some Springsteen, Born to Run was recorded in 75 but re-released in 1980 so it counts.
Do it for me anyway if this ain't still going.
Great cover also =]
PS. Could have a sax solo.. can't entirely remember.

@SeanieBlahBlah I did The Cure after this, but some bloody fucking record label took it down!
Can't hear Born To Run without thinking of that Hold Steady line - "Half the crowd's calling out for Born To Run, the other half's calling out for Born To Lose... Baby we were born to choose! We got the last call bar band really, really, really big decision blues!"

@MusicFromBlueSkies I should stop trying to force him on people, you're lucky there's such a distance between us.
Was that Boys don't cry? I've got the MP3 of that, you did a really good job =]

@SeanieBlahBlah aye that's the one. I do need to listen to Bruce more, never listened to a full album. Not singing anything atm though, throat is fucking raw!
Good luck tomorrow, lemme know how it goes. :)

you have amazing instrumental talent, but after listening to your voice there is alot of pout in it that detracts from the appeal. the pout in your voice gives the impression that you don't have control over it. I know this to not be true listening to your range. Overall you are very talented and I wish to hear more from you.
Best of luck kid.

Sorry, what do you mean by 'pout'? The only definition I'm aware of is the facial expression, which doesn't make sense in this context...
