@bigdoublebarrel constitutionally, the people are not given the right to pass law. That is reserved for congress. States have given initiative powers to its citizens for various reasons. Also just because the majority voted for something does not make it right or legal. There is this document called the constitution. maybe you should stop watching fox news and go to school. @bigdoublebarrel It's unconstitutional. In a strong country, a political system cannot be based on religion, especially in one that's as much a melting pot as America is. Propostion 8 served no other purpose than to defend religious zealots' and bigots' personal beliefs. It has no other purpose, there is no other threat. And as to how it was threatening in the first place is beyond me. THAT'S why it was overturned. We were just descriminating because we were afraid of something different.
