You Fancy Yourself is the little one-woman-show that could at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Audiences leave the theatre with fistfuls of leaflets, eager to spread the playground gospel according to Maja (pronounced MY-ah)! For those of us not lucky enough to have been brought up in Scotland, Maja Ardal shares reminiscences and fictional embellishments that bring her schoolyard friends, teachers, and the odd scrubbing woman to life. It's about loyalty, and the pain and joy associated with growing up. The Festival won't last forever, so get ye to Universal Arts at St. George's West at 4.45 pm or risk being one of the people who has to say, "I heard that was GREAT! I meant to see that" Yes, 4 stars, 4 stars, 4 stars. (What's up with RAVE reviews and 4 stars? It's a 5-star show. Full stop.)
