Regina Spektor recently visited Rolling Stone's New York offices to talk about her tours with the Strokes and the Kings of Leon (and what she's heard of the new Strokes album) and the "almost sci-fi" musical based on Sleeping Beauty that she's currently writing (she compares working on it to making smoothies). More seriously, she discusses how her new album-slash-film, Live in London, is dedicated to Daniel Cho, her late cellist, who drowned last summer while they were on tour.

  • When she talks...the enthusiasm and the truthfulness...reminds me of Fiona Apple

  • @SwagSoftball98 aarrgh...I can't!! She's too adorable! Her smile is sooo contagious!!!

  • @Chastark... Awesome! Thanks so much for the info!

  • @Onedrank If you check Wikipedia and other sources (including her website), it's supposed to come out in May 2012! I'm so excited, too!!

  • Try watching this without smiling, I dare you.

  • I NEED UR NEW ALBUM PLZ! When is it coming out?

  • She's CUTE AS A BUTTON! And with her speaking voice, it's hard to believe she's Russian American! I would usually think she'd have a thicker accent!

  • By far the best musician, singer, and songwriter among her contemporaries today ... hands down! There is something about her that captivates me like no one else. I can't precisely put my finger on it, but she ranks up there as one of the most beautiful persons I can think of. Her outer beauty as well as her inner beauty, her charming voice and sincerity rises above all. And when I've seen her up close and in person a few times so far, I wasn't disappointed in the least. Can't help but love her.

  • Her eyes and her smile both, I think, reflect the passion and love she has for music and life. Vibrant and vivacious.

  • THUMBS UP for REGINA! my ALLTIME favorite musician. PERIOD.
