A great Welsh Hymn sung by the Welsh Choir of Rehoboth Welsh Chapel in Delta Pennsylvania. The choir has performed all over the United States since 1984 and has won prizes at the International Eisteddfod in Wales. Known as Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer in English

  • Does your average American understand why Hymes are best sung in Welsh ? .....

It's so God doesn't have to translate...

  • This rendition is really good. The presence of female voices justs adds to the magic of this hymn.

  • The reason I mentioned the Royal Albert Hall is that is where the Welsh Men's group sings, I think it is once a year. If they sang in a Welsh venue that would be fine with me.

  • @261joanne F*** the Albert Hall its a Welsh song, pick a Welsh venue lol

  • @crapatev This choir comes from a town full of slate miners. The Quarries were huge in Delta PA. I have also uploaded a song they sang for Catherine Zeta's Jone's wedding in New York, Bugeilio'r Gwenith Gwyn, and on that video I uploaded pictures of the flooded quarry and the town. But there were Welsh Coal miners all over Pennsylvania, and their decendents still sing welsh and there are a few Welsh churches yet.

  • @Borzoi86 I hope it is not but if the singing is in Welsh Then BRING IT ON!!!! :-)

  • @Albertanator "I had no idea their were Welsh in Pennsylvania?? "

It had quite a few Welsh immigrants (for the mines, isn't it?!).

  • Cwm Rhondda - where a lot of my ancestors of from- the beautiful Rhondda valley- CYMRU AM BYTH

  • I had no idea their were Welsh in Pennsylvania?? And wow.....do they sing it beautifully!!! Thank you for this treasure!
