Iran tests-fires a new generation of surface-to-surface missile, state television reports on Wednesday, November 12.

Iran's armed forces have staged frequent manoeuvres in recent months, coinciding with speculation of possible U.S. or Israeli strikes against the Islamic Republic over its disputed nuclear ambitions.

"Iran successfully test-fires new generation of ground-to-ground missiles," state television said in a scrolling headline. The missile has the name Sejil on its upper body.

Iran has said it would respond to any attack on its territory by targeting U.S. interests and Washington's ally Israel, as well as closing the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for world oil supplies.

  • @kahnkan its your opinion

  • Iran is surrounded, there's US troops to the west in Iraq and to the east in Afghanistan, let's face it,they cant land a fucking plane without it flying into a building first and they think they can take on the most technological and powerful nation on earth? I think not. God bless the USA!!!!

  • @solider1177 Because Reuters uses footage from Al-Alam...Iran's Arabic-speaking satellite TV station.

  • @hamidrezah LOL You need nuclear subs for those types of missiles...not plastic toys like Ghadir. It takes 10-20 years. Maybe 10 years for R&D and another 10 years for the production + the flight tests. Iran doesn't have this technology and the main reason for this is "brain drain" triggered by the dictatorial policies of the regime, that puts so much restrictions on people's daily lives. Furthermore, I find it insulting that you're praising the regime for something that was done by our people.

  • WE WILL SEE ABOUT THAT. IRAN DARES ANYONE IN THE WORLD TO ATTACK. BY THE WAY, THE NUCLEAR SITES ARE WELL PROTECTED.

  • lo the person is i speaking in Arabic not Persian

  • ahhahaha the person is speaking in Arabic

  • great.

  • every one would loze -.-:
