Let's Take a look at the MSR Pocket Rocket Camp Stove. This stove is fueled by Isopro fuel cylinders. It weights in at 3 oz. in the carry case. This lightweight backpacking stove is a great option for cooking and preparing food at camp, in the field, on the trail or in a bug out situation. It is also very affordable at around $40.00. I will show you the stove, how it functions and test it for an approximate boil time.

  • The cup you ask about seems to be part of the East German Canteen set:

I saw one at "majorsurplus dotcom"

If you search for canteens it will come up. Great video!

  • With that army canteen sitting on top it looks very unstable so not something i would use outdoors where a slight breeze could cause all kinds of probelms.

  • I Think That Pot?Cup thing is From Germany

  • Hi...Just wanted to ask , how long does the fuel last for?..2 or 3 times ?...I'm new at this

  • Hi Packrat i've been watching your videos for a while and was wondering what is your opinion on a stove with fuel vs a good old fire for cooking. I'am trying to decide whether to get the esbit or something like to pocket rocket. Thanks!

  • for the record, water is considered safe to drink after it have been either microfiltered through a filter small enough to hold viruses or it's reached a rolling boil for one full minute

  • @Sage80 about 90 mins at high power

  • how long would that whole canister last?

  • nice job on ur vid. i just bought MSR pocket rocket but ddn't get chance 2 use it yet. is it safe to burn sterno with it
