"Welcome to HACC's Midtown Center" by the students of WEB233 Web Multimedia Production - Fall 2011

Welcome to HACC's Midtown Center for Engineering, Technology, and the Trades in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

This promotional video is a first-of-a-kind project for the Web Development and Design program at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College. Hours of high-definition video shot with two Panasonic AG-HMC70U cameras in AVC-HD "anamorphic" format provide the raw material for this production. You'll notice a number of "dolly shots" using our new Matthews Round-D-Round doorway dolly, provided through the generosity of The HACC Foundation and its contributors. What you're not seeing is the footage where we crashed into door jambs and a soda machine; stay tuned for the bloopers reel, where you'll also see 140# Fabio Carmona try to push 300# Craig Pfisterer up the "Urban Meadow" grade to Midtown I for the Welding shoot.

Audio was edited in Adobe Soundbooth CS5, video was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, and special effects were created in Adobe After Effects CS5. All the students contributed to videography, with dolly shots a specialty of Rachel King and Alyson Miller. Craig Pfisterer, the only 6'-7" NAS strongman competitor in the class, was the narrator; he only needed 32 takes to say "photo-voltaic". Video editing by Michael "Speedy" Rios, Vitalie Martea, and Alan Isley. Lower-Third graphics and animations by Fabio Carmona and Vitalie Martea. Script by Will Foltz and Chrystopher Johnson.
