Bank of America's Equator short sale processing system is designed to streamline your short sale.
Now that Alliance Short Sales has uploaded close to 30 Bank of America short sale files into the system I thought it would be helpful to give you some of the tips that we have learned.
Make sure you give yourself some time to upload the file the first time because the fields don't always make sense and if you think you will get it loaded in 20 minutes it is highly unlikely.
Paperwork from your seller and seller registration is critical to your success. Also, make sure you understand that the Equator system gives you a time limit to address the tasks that you are assigned.
Even if you only need 30 minutes to upload a file, I guarantee that you will be slightly irritated when you have to upload the file a second time because you went past the Equator deadline.
If you have not had to deal with Equator yet, since B of A has a large majority of loans in default after their acquisition of Countrywide, you are bound to run into it sometime soon.

@MAZDAKPRODUCTION We do short sale negotiations. I just found out that our sight is down yesterday. LAME!!! I guess I need to check stuff out more often. We work with Realtors and do all of the interaction and negotiation with the lenders. What is your interest. Are you a homeowner or an agent?

Thank you for doing hes videos...I wonder if you could answer me a question. I have experienced buyers who do not feel comfortable providing the 1st 6 of their social security number and DOB, however, I cannot bypass the system without it. I believe tis is going to become an ongoing problem. Do you know why they ask for this info. Thanks!

@sbkhousehunter Great Question. You are going to LOVE the answer. JUST MAKE IT UP. My opinion is that the bank has no need to have that information, it is private, and they don't verify it.
