Ali should have gave it up but no and then later in life look what happened to him too many blows to the head. He retired with two more losses. Sad and not the greatest of all time.

I wish Ali did destroy him. But to be fair, Holmes was a great champion would great heart and skill, he most likely is in the top 10 of all time greats. To me he is in the top 5, but there is no way on earth, that Holmes would have beaten Muhammad in his true prime in 1967. Ali would do the same thing to Holmes against what he did to Williams. Ali was a lot faster for Holmes, so he would have outsmarted it and outtimed him in any second of any round. Holmes didn't beat Ali, he beat an old man.
