I remember the time on "Candid Camera" they put up a railroad crossing in the middle of nowhere (where there was no track) and made people wait for an invisible train. A sound system was put in to make people believe a train was really there. One waiting motorist commented on how the train sounded like it must have about 40 or 50 cars.
