  • Freddie Green is ALWAYS OK exactly where he wants to be!

  • Freddie Green is OK exactly where he is.

  • That’s Jazz !!

From what I've read/heard, there's only about 3 solos from Freddie. Fortunately, that "Basie Sound" always lets

Freddie's work shine through even if he didn't solo very much.

  • Super Great! So musical, so swinging!

  • one of the few youtube videos that has no dislikes although it has been watched over 5.000 times.

  • gooooooooooood morning swing ******8stars

  • Wonderful music. Taste, time, dynamics -- and how does Basie put so much "tension-needing-release" into it when it's so relaxed?

Interesting that this is in black and white, when it was done in 1968. I would have thought colour was the standard by then.

  • Great footage... Basie showing why Oscar Peterson (self-admittedly) was scared of him; Freddy Greene showing why the essence of the insurmountable swing of the Basie band was the way he played TIME.
