Amid all the chaos and finger pointing, one phone call nearly ignited a war. Dawn broke a story that a hoax caller claiming to be then Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee made threatening calls to Pakistan President Zardari as well as Chief of Army Staff Kayani. Now DawnNews has uncovered the identity of the hoax caller who almost triggered a war between Pakistan and India, and it is the jailed Pakistani militant Omar Saeed Shaikh, using a UK registered mobile SIM which he somehow managed to obtain.
