can someone explain to me like a 3 year old how your system works ??? In the UK I get an Official Ballot Card in the Post ...I take it to the local polling station and cast my vote between 7 am and 10 pm I make a mark on the ballot paper in private and put it in a ballot box ....a paper trail counted by humans not computers that can be rigged ...I am perplexed !
It could be done and it would be good, but it requires high-level validation technologies and uber-secure servers. Even a socialist such as myself cannot yet trust our enormous government to get it all correct like Estonia is able to. And one little mistake can sway an election.
When r we going to get to vote online??? The government COULD ABSOLUTLY make it work. It would be much more effecient. Booths would be a thing of the past and, people w/ out computers could go to their local library and schools could open their computers for use to anyone. But ya, why the hell can't the move the voteing day to the weekend????? It's simple, they just don't seem to give a crap. But i do think getting voting on the enternet would make things more convenient.
I have never had the "luxury of getting off work for a few hours to vote." Never. I've been voting since 1980 and the polls have always been open long enough for me to go in and vote either before or after work. If a person is working two or three jobs I doubt they have weekends off, too. And there's always absentee voting as an option, which I don't really like to do but I have done it that way on occasion if I knew I would be out of town due to work. If people really care, they'll vote any day
I see why you think that it is a sorry excuse not to vote on Tuesday, but what about Americans that have to work two or three jobs just to make ends meet, and spend most of their time running from job to job? More than likely, they will have at least a little free time on Saturday to be able to get out and vote. We have to think about ALL voters, not just those with the luxury of getting off work for a few hours to vote.

CNN is so liberal its crazy
Id keep the Electoral college cause small states will not be heard from at all.
The Primary System needs to change i like Sen. Nelson Idea on that.
