The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show is an animated television series produced by Ruby-Spears Productions from 1979 to 1981; it was shown right after Super Friends on the ABC Network. It featured various adventures of the DC Comics superhero Plastic Man. The show features many adventures in different segments: Plastic Man, Baby Plas, Plastic Family, Mighty Man and Yukk, Fangface and Fangpuss, and Rickety Rocket. The show was repackaged by Arlington Television into 130 half-hour episodes, and released into national, first-run-off-network daily syndication in 1984. "The Plastic Man Comedy Show" was produced and directed by Steve Whiting and featured a live-host "Plastic Man", played by Taylor Marks.

  • What a cluster-fuck! This video has got me angry!

  • I remember this. Cartoons where fun then 1980's the best!

  • WB should make a plastic man big budget movie...who would play him? Definitely someone more serious than this guy on the video. Who was the actor that played Plastic Man in the live action segment?

  • @effrin999 I want to argue but I cant lol

  • @MoronHunterD why would I make mine smaller.... BA-ZING!!!

  • I've been looking all over for this! Thanks for posting. I knew this really happened.

  • I remember this show and thoes live action bits. Although looking at it now he looks more like an Elvis impersonator more than Plastic Man. :)

  • I went and got the Plastic Man DVD set at walgreens it didn't have these segments. I remember these segments when i was a baby. I had to been 1 or 2 years old.

  • I barely remember this intro to the Plastic Man Comedy Adventure Show. But I don't recall the Plastic Family, Baby Plas, Heathcliff, Dingbat, Marmaduke, and Golide Gold being part of this show. I do recall Mighty Man and Yukk, Rickety Rocket, and Fangface being on here. Of course, this was back in 1979.

Thanks for posting and bringing back good childhood memories.
