49cc 66cc 80cc 2stroke motors all have something that can wear out and make you think your engine is falling apart.. dont let it out smart you.. these two parts in the two stroke just could be the problem and could be an easy cheap solution. may take some part orders but otherwise, better than an expensive engine swap. its only parts that handle your clutch.

  • hey mustangmike232,i put my bike together with the motor but my piston does not move up or down wen i spin the chain, anythoughts on how i can find out why it wont move?

  • @1bigredtruck1 the only thing i can think of is the clutch being stuck... otherwise if your engine is seized i would call the company or person that sold it to you and ask for a replacment engine

  • Exactly, what my problem was. Dude thanks so much I was about to (not buy a $169.00 new engine) but close.. I was going to spend $49. plus shipping on a Clutch rebuild kit, (which may have not been available when you had your problem. I just bought the motor in February of 2011) because I like most people don't have a Gas Bike engine shop/dealer up the street. HUGE HELP. THanks. Jery

  • @JeryDean1 your welcome, glad i could help.

  • do you think the 4 stroke kits are much more powerful and more reliable

  • @rsb7194o0 no i really do not. the 49cc is cool and all but its a little too complicated and it gave me a load of problems. my clutch blew apart like i blew the 200dollars i paid for it... no i stick with the 2stroke

  • Okay i have an 66cc engine kit and i when i first got it it ran without troubles but then it broke down and now it wont start anymore. i cleaned the carburator and checked all the wireing and everything is fine. Could you help me ?

  • You are my HERO! Drove myself crazy trying all sorts of adjustments, even took my bike to some "pro" dude that didn't help at all. Tried with a new clutch arm and pin, didn't work. All I did was slip the new rod in, put it back together and tah-dah! Such a beautifully simple solution. For anyone else out there looking, there is a seller on ebay called boygofast that sells them. Don't buy the ball bearing though- it's too small. Thanks a million Mustangmike!

  • they need to make a generator kit for these motors to charge 12 volt battery not some shittie little 7 volt on that sucks.

  • Hey can you tell me of a site where I could order the clutch arm and pin.. The company that I purchased my engine form only carries the clutch arm.

  • Hey like ur vid got a question i have a 66cc skyhawk engine the clutch arm keeps coming out while im riding and wont engage. I losen the bolts it drops back down and when i start riding a gain it comes back up. How do i fix this issue. Thanks

  • @Mustangmike232 well i tried to start min for the first time today and the clutch doesnt pull in properly, the bloddy boot for the spark plug shattered when i tried to take it off and the carby is pissing out fuel :|
