Sweet's Brian Connolly, & Marc Bolan Tribute By Stevie G ( Brian Manly )

This is a song I wrote for my album Obsession in 2006. It is my story in showbusiness. It is funny , it was supposed to be funny ! It is also a direct homage to Sweet ( brian Connolly) and has a tribute to him in the middle section. It is now surprise that Brian's biographer Brian Manly loves Marc Bolan, Glam Rock or indeed Mr Connolly! The video was shot in my lounge and uses artifacts from a recent concert in Covent Garden to celebrate the book The man who sang Blockbuster and my work over the last 25years. There is a small amount of footage from the show in here too. The song uses a moog synth to get a very Sweet sound and I use my impersonatory skills to get a Connolly vocal feel. Enjoy. Rejoice, BC lives on in the memories of those who love him and enjoy him. Brian
